Clarkson looks very old, that makes me a bit sad.
I must say that for every dumb decision or comment he made, he has twenty great journalistic or comedic works.

For all his faults, Clarkson can actually be quite intelligent when he wants to be (see Inventions that Changed the World or his multiple appearances on QI). It’s just that the whole “big tall brash Yorkshireman” personality has made him quite famous, and quite rich. Honestly can’t blame him for playing things up.

He’s one of the people that has inspired me the most.
Before I started studying engineering last August I even wanted to move to England and study Journalism there.
Inventions that Changed the World is a great program and I love bingeing on the old programs he has. But we cannot ignore that he has made some mistakes over the years, I can understand why the BBC fired him... he was a bit of a loose cannon. I honestly fear that some sexual harassment allegations ever surface about him because I could see myself believing the allegations based on his past conduct.
still, an amazing writer and presenter.

I wouldn’t go as far to call him an inspiration, he’s still a grumpy git with backwards views and a low tolerance of others.
But he has a way with words, his written car reviews are especially underrated .
